Score!

Still want to write a whole post about yesterday's pre op but want to start before I'm tired.

Happy to say my friend Grace is doing well with her stem cell transplant!

Had a real treat today was able to attend my friend Max's Junior Rangers Select hockey game. It was really really fun even though the black net made me crazy. Next year I plan on being able to walk well enough to be able to walk all around the building and get any angle that I want! That's how I'm thinking nowadays. What picture could I get if I could walk over there?

Number 44 played great!

They were down two nothing but pulled it out in the last few minutes!

That's my good friend Pari who is very proud to be Max's Grandma. I get to go see her other favorite grandson Luke's game on Saturday!

As promised more Cooper pictures:

Grumpy cat

Not a very busy day, just getting ready for pre op tomorrow. Hoping the weather cooperates. Time is pretty much dragging until my surgery on the 28th so I don't want to Pre-Op to be put off.

Ha ha I just realized that this time is literally like watching grass grow.

At least it's growing fast! Wonder if it's like a lawn and you have to trim it or it will go to seed?

This boy is going to be excited but today he was still pretty relaxed.

And giving out hugs.

Better get to bed or I'm going to be a grumpy cat tomorrow morning at 7 AM!

A good day for cats

It's day zero for Grace. Today she gets her sister's stem cells. God speed stem cells. Make yourself at home!

Gearing up for my preop appointment on Wednesday. Got to gather up all those meds and bring them in the big bag and get ready to be poked and prodded. The surgeon is going to aspirate my knee as well to get a fluid sample and make sure the infection is long gone. No big deal.

Hey did I tell you that I'm growing cat grass for Harrison?

It started out like this:

Yesterday I saw a little bit of life and today you can almost watch it grow!

Harrison doesn't know about it yet, I figure I'll give it a chance to truly come into its own before he has at it!

Speaking of treats for cats today Emily sent me this:

Whiskers gave them a big claws up!

Thumbs up

Well. I don't have any of these:

But I do have this:

I have trigger thumb. Just means I can't bend the middle joint without it kind of getting stuck painfully. I've been referred to a plastic surgeon for cortisone shots but that will take three months so in the meantime my doctor wants me to wear this.

Everything I've read says that this is not necessarily an overuse injury. But I'm pretty sure in my case it is probably ipod thumb.

Going to do my best to try to limit my use of my iPod. Won't be easy. I'm not going to stop blogging because it really helps me wind down and get ready to sleep at night. However I'm going to use Siri a lot more and not correct her very much. That means capitals in the middle of sentences where I've paused, and probably a lot of other weird things!

Worst comes to worst they can cut the tendon in the thumb surgically with good success. I just think it would be ridiculous to need another surgery.

Love this:

That would be a nightmare!

Reading is a bit of a challenge with my thumb. Holding books or the iPod kind of hurts. I'll have to figure out a system of propping things up or mostly listen to Audio books cause I ain't never going to stop reading!

Pie pie anybody ?

Missed posting last night. Was working on Emily's birthday movie until 4 AM. I have some new video software on my iPod that I'm finding very exciting. But today I am trying to read a paper book and give my fingers and wrists a break.

Continuing to pray for Grace as she moves through the steps of her transplant these days.

Dancing while you get chemo is the newest Internet craze.

Not sure I can picture Grace dancing with nurses but I'm sure she'll have them in stitches with her witty sense of humor.

We continue to get sweet pictures of my new great-niece from out east. She is such a beauty!

I finally understand the meaning of rosebud lips.

And in iPod Apps news I learned how to do this today with Photo Shaper. Very easy.

Just when I thought Harry couldn't get any cuter…

We're laying here listening to the wind roar outside. Nice to be warm and comfy! I've started reading the hunger games books in an effort to put down my iPod. Not sure I'll have good dreams tonight.

Up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to have some last-minute dental work done. After tomorrow it would be too late because it would be too close to my surgery date.

This made me laugh, although it's probably been more days than that. I am too lazy to do the math.

Never did understand pi either. And I'm including the book Life of Pi too. Fascinating but deeply flawed. No desire to see that movie.

This kind of pie I could deal with!
