Squirrel! And a health update

Happy to report that the birds and squirrels are looking to get fat and so are willing to play my reindeer posing games again. This girl was just walking past the candy to get the nut but I like how it looks like she was taking a bite.

But first lets take care of a bit of business.

If you follow me on Facebook you know I had 3 scans in the span of 8 days recently - Pet scan, MRI and CT scan,

While they showed the cancer that we knew about the good news is that they showed no previously unknown internal cancer.

So yay let's celebrate that! Though I should quickly say that next steps to deal with stopping the pesky skin cancer are yet to be determined and might be very difficult. I'll know more in the next few weeks.

I want to say a big thank you for all your love and support during the tests and other times too. I found the PET scan surprisingly claustrophobic - surprising in the sense that I had no idea I had even a slight problem with metal tubes. I mean I've had countless CT scans and 6 spinal block surgeries wide awake without sedation no problem but having that metal tube right over my face blocking out the room for 45 minutes was different and made me fear the MRI coming up next a great deal.

So I asked those of you with pets for pictures of your floofs as a distraction and boy did you come through!

Also coming through were your comments of love and prayers and the MRI could not have gone better!

Special mention to Henry for a 5:30 am pick up for the MRI at 7:30 in Hamilton and Pari for driving me to the other two tests on very short notice! We developed a smokey bacon Caesar habit.

And discovered something very bad as well. Piping hot donuts in a bag of icing sugar that you shake. We should have just skipped the first course.

Yes.

So anyway I'm glad those tests are done and we'll see what happens next.\\

Today I had my favorite assignment ever at the nursing home taking pictures of a lady and her beloved stuffed animals. There was absolutely nothing childish about it and while I got some hard won smiles, I loved most the dignity and comfort shown in the pictures which of course I can't show you for confidentiality reasons. But honestly doing that sort of thing gives me SO much pleasure and I'm grateful to have healed so quickly from the last surgery so I can!

Then I headed out to the gazebo to my wild floofy friends. Some pretties along the way.

Today's set up.

Wait a minute I can carry two. Grabby hands!

Tilly!

Hope this cutey guy comes closer. Definitely a Notches offspring.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
