At a distance

Got a few pictures of Mr hummingbird today but only at a great distance. He waited till I had an impatient cat on the end of a leash and then showed up. 

Later after I'd sat and waited for quite a while he turned up when I was right up by the feeder checking for ants then hovered less than a foot away from me for a bit like he was supervising. No way to get a picture that close. I'll try again another day and I'll change the water every couple of days. 

Mighty hunter is more interested in porch ants than hummingbirds.
