Harrison's check up and sunrise sunset

I think I have my moviemaking mojo back. Especially picking the right music. Here is Harry going to the vet.

I'm pleased with it.

In the past I couldn't use iMovie very well because I didn't understand the Ken Burns effect thingy. Now that I know how to work it so that I can get what I want into the picture, look out, there's no stopping me!

Also, Caleb got a haircut!

Such a handsome dude.

Five minutes ago…

Waaaaaaah!

Clean sweep

Super day. Since my knee does not want to walk (I'm thinking maybe the temporary spacer is wearing out) I decided to do some cleaning. The areas under both of my sinks are currently clean! Well Karen did the actual on her knees cleaning (and ant spraying) but I totally excavated and filled 3 garbage bags. It feels fantastic!

Tomorrow my side table. Could my desk be next? That thing is crammed full of paper. It's hilarious because Harrison doesn't know what's going on. He doesn't see that much cleaning.

Then we went to bulk barn to buy peppermint to scare away ants and horehound candy for my card ladies. I can't abide the taste but they love it.

And then we went to see Cooper!

Going going gone

Caleb is into collages now too! And of course he and Emily are both teaching me things but I did not know.

I love that Caleb highlighted me blowing my nose. If you can't crop it out make it a joke! I don't miss you cough and I'm mainlining oil of oregano to keep you away.

Some chicken pictures from freshfully.com. Not as cute as ponies in sweaters but it'll do Pig. It'll do.

January rain and go Grace go

Good news! My friend Grace got accepted for a stem cell transplant. It came down to a committee decision at Princess Margaret Hospital and it's awesome that she was chosen. Well except of course for the whole now she has to undergo a stem cell transplant.

Grace is one of the smartest, look on the bright side with a big dollop of realistic, ultra dry, hit you after you think about it a minute with big time funny, person I know. She will do great and I know your thoughts and prayers will be with her. She has a month before it begins. Pretty sure it's the same procedure that Robin Roberts of Good Morning America had. Who knows maybe we'll both be in the hospital at the same time.

January is weird. This is what my yard look like today:

This is how far Harrison got.

And yes I am wearing capris in January because hot flashes are hot. Makes for less laundry when you don't wear warm clothes so it's win-win.

My knees did not approve a walk today but I still saw some beautiful things from my porch.

Danna emailed me some pictures from last week today.

Cooper looks like his grandpa Martin and his great grandpa Martin in this picture:

With cats, it's all about attitude.

Lucky that my guy has no idea about that at all. Also lucky that he doesn't know he's going for his check up on Thursday!

Hope you are all warm and dry.

Princess Buttercup

I had a great night's sleep and didn't do much else today except play cards. These pictures are from last week but I get hissed and glared every week so it's all good and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Well, Dora wasn't hissing in this picture, she was showing me her frustrated face.

In this picture Alice was expressing the fact that I was driving her to drink.

But it's all good because, as you can see she ended up winning.

Alice has taught me a lot about thoroughly enjoying a win and even though she complains mightily about losing it's always very funny.

This is the only picture I took today:

I got notice of four new appointments today and I was rolling my eyes a little bit about having so many and having to find rides etc.

And then I got a grip. How lucky am I to have these routine cancer check up appointments and not be desperately waiting to see someone about a new sore or waiting for radiation. Or being told there is nothing that anyone could do. Very very lucky I would say.

So suck it up buttercup about the appointments and be cheerful, even if you have to change each and every one of them if the knee surgery pops up.

Here are some more Emily collages.

We both love the picture of her holding the pink gum ball. She knew very well at that age that she was not allowed to have gum and it should not have been given to her. Nevertheless she enjoyed the heck out of it and gave it back cheerfully after a few bites

It makes me happy to know that someone will always love and enjoy my pictures as much as I do. And I know she will continue loving candid pictures as she grows up.

Here is Cooper with his great grandpa from the Sauder side of the family.

So special.

Someone give these people a raise please!

And remember:
